This is cool! Buckinghamshire New University has created the first ever undergraduate fashion design degree that focuses on ethics and sustainability. The program, which is taking applications for its inaugural year starting September, will have courses that focus on sustainability, ethical and environmental impact of mass fashion production and manufacture, child labour, global supply chains, social and corporate responsibility of the fashion industry, in addition to design.

Combining technical elements, business focus and industry knowledge – this program will help launch “green collar” graduates who just might be the future of ethical fashion.
