As we look back at London Fashion Week (LFW) (we loved Top Shop’s Unique collection and Simone Rocha’s Respect Your Elders), we have been taking a look at what British fashion designers have been doing in the ethical fashion space. Boy, are we excited!
Vivienne Westwood leads the pack as the world’s first international designer to be working in Burkina Faso, as part of her project with the United Nation’s Ethical Fashion Initiative (we talk more about the article here). At LFW, she featured an ethically made weekend bag woven by artisans in the West African country. Other fabulous fashion labels that are a part of this UN initiative include sass&bride from Australlia and D’anarchive from Paris.
